Preston Food Truck Park

518 High St
Preston VIC 3072

Went during the Asian Street Food Weekend.

They do different themes on different weeks, see Facebook page.

Located across the Nissan Showroom, it’s easily accessible via public transport. Car parks are plenty too.

Venue from far.

Outside

3

At the entrance.

4

Outdoor seats

5

More seats in the shed.

No issues finding a table that’s for sure.

6

Cute ping pong table located in the shed.

Keeps the kids busy. I should also mention there was a projector and a screen located indoors.

Our quail & papaya salad next to the horrendous squid rings & chips.

The squid was so, so bad. It was not even proper squid. It was a mixture of some type of grounded meat. It was from the Fish & Chips Truck. Do not order.

Squid & chips – 0/10

Knife + Fork Food Truck

This was the food truck we liked the most out of the rest.

Knife + Fork Menu:
Fried Chicken Ribs Popo with Rice $12
Filipino Pork of Chicken Sisig on Rice $12.50
Special Pork or Chicken Tacos $8.50
Filipino Pork or Chicken on Wrap $10
Filipino Pork or Chicken Nachos $12
Asian Pork Sliders $11.50
Prawn Fritters w/ Prawn Chips $8

Ordered the Fried Chicken Ribs Popo w/ rice ($12) and Filipino Pork Sisig on rice ($12.50).

This is also the only food truck that does coffee. Prices ranging from $3-$4.50.

Chicken Ribs, too much rice, no sauce, dry – 6/10

Pork Sisig, came with two poached eggs, tasty – 8/10

13

Three Skewer Tasting Plate ($10) from Woking Amazing Truck

*Not so important but still somewhat important: Everything sold by Woking Amazing is vegetarian, yet the food truck does not does not clearly mention it. Was rather disappointed at the lack of transparency from this food truck.

The flavour was there though I’ll give them that.

Faux-meat skewers – 6.5/10

12

Creme Brulee ($6) from Yo India Truck

We were pretty full on savoury so the only thing we ordered from Yo India was the Creme Brulee.

Expected some type of Indian take on this but unfortunately it was a plain old creme brulee.

Creme Brulee – 5/10 for lack of creativity.

14

Churros

Plain old churros – 4/10

Don’t know which truck it came from, but only one truck does it.

My experience at the Preston Food Truck Park:
– Disappointing
– Not worth the trip
– Expensive for the portions you get

Food: 4/10
Service: 5/10
Ambience: 7/10
